Britney Spears' 'life at risk'

THE parents of Britney Spears say the pop star's life is at risk after she was released from psychiatric care against the wishes of her psychiatrist.
Photographers chased Spears across Los Angeles after her early release from a hospital where she had been held for a mental evaluation.
Six days after being admitted, Spears made a low-key departure from the UCLA Medical Centre, accompanied by private security guards.
She returned to her Beverly Hills home, but when she ventured out later, a crowd of paparazzi caught up with her and surrounded her car.
In a statement, the singer's parents said they believed their daughter's life was at risk, and questioned why she was allowed to leave the hospital.
